Week 40 6-27-16 Neuquen Progreso

Hey this week was a little slow but good. We had 4 days that we couldn't find anyone but the other days were really good. We have a lot of good investigators but its hard to get them to church. We have an investigator Nico. He is super cool dude and we are working with him a lot. Juan we haven't been able to find, or he has been busy with his daughter. Other than this nothing much new.

We got a lot of crap for losing to Argentina in the Copa America. We had like 4 drunk dudes come and talk to us though out the week and say random stuff. Its funny to me because they just lost yesterday so now we can say what happened with Chile haha .

We made some empanadas this week and they were super good!

Week 39 6-20-16 Neuquen Progreso

This week was super nice! 

It was sunny and we had a good week!!

 Yesterday we visited a reference from a member. Matias We go by and the mom says no he isn't home. Like 15 minutes later. The member that gave us the reference calls us and is like, Matias wants you guys to come over. We go over and had an awesome lesson. This dude is super prepared. He wants to be baptized but wants to learn more about the church and everything. It was a miracle!!

We also did exchanges on Friday. I was with Elder Hoffman and it was pretty good.

Friday was also a  random holiday. Argentina has a lot of those. We are contacting at like 10:30. We contact a house and this fat guy without a shirt opens the window and says" Its a holiday let us sleep" hahah I was laughing hahah The Argentines are lazy on the holidays haha.

Also on Sunday our neighbors woke us up at 6 in the morning because they were doing Karaoke!!! They were up all night. They were doing Karaoke until like 7:30......

Week 38 6-13-16 Neuquen Progreso

This week was another good week. The weather was nice with the sun. Its still cold but it's nice for working. We have been teaching a lot which is super nice. It's awesome to see the blessings  come when you are working hard. We have a lot of good people so we will see!! Juan is doing good! The problem is that he works on Sundays so we are going to see if he can change it so he can go to church. Our other investigators are still new so we hope we can get them all to church this week.

This transfer I have been trying to have more patience with the people. Its been something that I have had to work on because its frustrating when you are telling someone something good and they don't want to listen. Also when they say they don't understand you and you know they do.

This week we had a contact with an old investigator we were talking and she couldn't understand me which was super frustrating. (Almost everyone understands me now) I was really mad and just stopped talking and then I prayed and asked God for help. After,  I was able to talk clearly and we had a super good lesson. God really helps us with our challenges.

We can also play Futbol now!!!!!

Week 37 6-6-16 Neuquen Progreso

This week was super cool!! We had a ton of success! We found a ton of the people from last week and put 2 new fechas for the end of this month. We found Juan again and he is super awesome!! He said that he is going to pray and read the BOM to see if its true. Its super cold down here. I think this week its going to be like 8 degrees C. I hate it hahah But whatever.

Oh a funny story! We were contacting and this lady came out and was like what do you want? We said we were missionarys and she went off on us! She was soo pissed and i asked her what we did? She just got more mad and ended up walking away and doing the cross thing. I was laughing. Thats one thing i dont get mad about that stuff now!!

Week 36 5-30-16 Neuquen Progreso

This week was super cool!!

A lot of stuff happened. First off we had transfers and I'm staying here with the same comp. I'm super pumped for that. He will be my first comp that I have had two transfers with!! We then visited Juan and had a super good lesson with him!! Its him and his wife and then have a little girl. We taught him and he accepted totally. We have a cita with him tonight.

We had intercambios and went to plottier with the leaders of the zone. We ended up going to an activity for 25 of May! We eat Choripan and it was super chill. 

We went to the terminal this morning and I saw elder Stuart, Valenzuela, and a lot of other missionaries that I know. It was super cool but Elder Stuart told me that Norma my investigator in Chos Malal got baptized and also the mother-in-law of Dante, Claudia, Got baptized!!! That was super good news!!! 

I also am getting into cutting hair. I cut elder Opfar's hair and then a kid of a member!!

Well that was my week!! It was a really good week. Love and miss you all!!

Week 35 5-24-16 Neuquen Progreso

Another week of rain!!

Everyone says that its super weird that its raining this much. I hate it. haha As a missionary its the worst but we are still working a lot!

On Tuesday we had intercambios with the other elders. I was with Elder Vergara that's from Chile. It was cool to be with a Latino for a little bit. It's nice to feel comfortable with the people and not have to worry about not understanding something. We had a pretty good day and taught a couple lessons.

On Thursday we had interviews with Presidente Casariego. They went really good. We actually talked a lot. He asked if i could talk with the people and members with a new missionary and I said yes! So I think I may be training this next transfer. Oh yeah transfers are this week so we will see what happens....

Well yesterday we had some really good contacts and we have a cita with one of them today so we will see how it goes with that. The work is going good here. A little slow but its picking up. I have faith in this area. 

Re: The Gaucho outfit. Most of the  people that work in the fields where it. It's a native thing.

Week 34 5-16-16 Neuquen Progreso

Hey this week was a lot better than last week!! It rained almost all week but we taught a lot more. We still don't have more strong investigators but we are working and im feeling good! I think we have hard times to learn something that we need to make better. I have started to take the leader more and its helped my confience and my abilitad to talk with people .i spelled that really bad hahah

This week we set higher goals and worked really hard to make them and we did. Its so true when we do it with all of our strength. God with help us with the rest.

Something interesting that happened was on Friday night i got bite by a mosquito. My hand swelled up a ton and it stayed swelled till Sunday...Now its all good but it was a little scary.

The weather has been sucking. Its been raining or cloud and its really cold. Everyone said that this isn't normal but it sucks!!

Well that was my week!!
